We round out the week bu reading Anne Cheng’s “Fantasy’s Repulsion and Investment: David Henry Hwang and Ralph Ellison,” from The Melancholy of Race: Psychoanalysis, Assimilation, and Hidden Grief (OUP, 2001) and Tabachnick and Rabkin’s essays from Teaching the Graphic Novel (MLA, 2009).
