I first heard this song the summer of 1990 and dedicated many weeks to perfected the falsetto of the young Newt brother. I recall arguing with my play cousin, Kim, about the lyrics (being obsessive, I was right, of course). I’m thinking about this sing with a slight tinge of nostalgia, as I used to sing it the summer i spent in Asheboro, North Carolina. Some strange synchronicity I’m back in NC all these years later.
